An estate sale is a way to sell personal property, typically after a major life event such as a death, downsizing, or relocation. Estate sales involve opening our doors to the public for a duration of 2-3 days. Estate sales are conducted by professionals who handle everything from organizing and pricing to advertising and conducting the sale.
It all starts with a simple phone call. During your first contact, we'll inquire about your specific circumstances and discuss how we can assist you. The subsequent step involves arranging a complimentary in-home consultation, where we'll visit your residence, evaluate the estate's contents, and ascertain whether an estate sale is a viable option.
Feel free to reach out to us as soon as you anticipate needing our services. Since sales often fill up weeks ahead of time and our schedule may be restricted, contacting us promptly ensures that we can accommodate your preferred timeframe.
We have a team of experienced appraisers who use a variety of factors to determine the value of your items. These factors include the item's age, condition, rarity, and current market demand. We also conduct research to ensure that your items are priced competitively. We also accommodate reserves and minimum prices that the family may want on specific items as well.
Absolutely not! This is typically the initial response from an estate sale company to a potential client. When unsure, refrain from discarding items; instead, consider including them in the estate sale! Even seemingly ordinary items can possess value. Items such as paper supplies, vintage hand tools, and linens are all in demand. We're delighted to offer assistance by donating any remaining items once the sale concludes.
Similar to any retail setting, theft can be a concern. At Vintique Finds Estate Sales, we implement the following measures to reduce its likelihood:
Everything from canned food that isn't expired to the art on the walls! Items can include but are not limited to the following:
Items we are not permitted to sell:
Ideally, yes. Our experience indicates that the entire process is more efficiently carried out when the home and property are left with the remainder of items that will be for sale. If the potential client remains in the property during the sale, we simply request that all personal belongings not intended for sale are confined to an area that will be restricted during the sale. We do accommodate downsizing sales when the family is just looking to de-clutter as well.
No, your presence is not required during the estate sale. We oversee all aspects from beginning to end, including organization, pricing, and conducting the sale. However, you are welcome to attend if you choose to do so.
Following the estate sale, any remaining items can be donated to a charity of your choosing or disposed of as per your preference. Additionally, if required, we can offer suggestions for professional cleaning services or junk removal.
